The Canadian Club® Heritage Center, completed in 1894, was the world headquarters for the Company distillery and housed the many interests of the company, including farming, real estate, the Lake Erie and Detroit River Railroad, the Mettawas Hotel in Kingsville and other small enterprises.
Today, the Canadian Club® Heritage Center is where the soul and spirit of Canadian Club® resides. It stands not only as a monument to classical architecture, but also as a testimony to the perserverence and commitment of a company that, for over 150 years, has dedicated itself to the craft of producing the world’s best Canadian Whisky.
Our 1½-hour tour takes you back in time to the height of the company's success, and Company’s personal friendships with some of the biggest innovators in history–Henry Ford and Thomas Edison. Visit the basement’s Speakeasy Room where meetings were once held with Al Capone and The Purple Gang. Hear the story of how Canadian Club® Whisky quenched the thirst of many United States citizens for 13 long years during Prohibition.
Don’t miss Hiram’s Sampling Room, Canadian Art Gallery and the theatre to watch a short video about the production of Canadian Club®. The tour finishes with a formal whisky tasting of Canadian Club® 1858 and Dock 57 Spiced Canadian Club® Whisky.
